Nottingham-born indie pop quintet Ashfields release their eagerly anticipated new single We Don’t Talk. The band have already made quite a name for themselves in their hometown and now are looking for some more national recognition.
The single was premiered on BBC Introducing in the East Midlands, who have been big supporters of the band from the get go. After Mental Health Awareness Week, the band wanted to make a video that showed it’s good to talk and not to suffer in silence. Ashfields posted the video out on their Facebook page last week and it’s already had 34,000 views in just 5 days.
The video was originally premiered on The Digital Fix, and you can watch it on YouTube here.
“We’ve always been heavily into the music scene, growing up with bands like Oasis, The Verve and Kings of Leon,” explains Jay Sanderson. The bass guitarist continued, “I guess we wanted to be like those guys, make our stamp on the music scene, play to thousands of people and share our passion.”
